Manifold
Manifold is our compliance and field-service SaaS for UK Gas Safe engineers, built and run with our own money on the line.
Context
Manifold is our own SaaS: job scheduling, CP12 certificates and renewals for UK gas engineers. We don't build it for a client; we build it with our own money on the line, which means every shortcut we're tempted to sell against is one we've felt the cost of ourselves. It started the way most good products do, with a real engineer's real frustration at paperwork eating his evenings.
The problem
Gas engineers live in vans, not offices. The software has to schedule jobs, produce legally compliant certificates and chase renewals from a phone, in a loft, with no signal, and it has to be trusted enough to bet a business on.
What we built
A full SaaS platform: scheduling, digital CP12s, renewals, customer records and AI-assisted compliance features, with offline-capable capture for the field and the reporting layer designed in from the first commit.
The outcome
A live product with real users, and a working reference for exactly the standard of software we bring to a client build. Manifold also keeps us honest: every recommendation we make to a client about auth, billing, offline sync or reporting is one we have already lived with in production, at our own cost, with our own users.
