A UK market-research consultancy

This UK market-research consultancy asked us to rebuild fragmented reporting into one trusted Power BI model, delivered in weeks.

Context

A UK market-research consultancy whose reporting had grown organically across spreadsheets and one-off dashboards until nobody was quite sure which number was the real one. The business ran regular tracking studies for multiple clients, each with its own delivery deadlines, so reporting was not a nice-to-have: it was the product, and it was wobbling. Every hour spent reconciling figures was an hour not spent on the analysis those clients were actually paying for, and the rebuild had to happen without pausing the studies that fed it.

The problem

Reports that didn't reconcile, a data model held together by manual steps, and a team spending time defending figures instead of using them.

What we built

A single, properly-modelled Power BI semantic model, automated feeds replacing the manual exports, and reports designed around the decisions the business actually makes.

The outcome

One agreed source of truth, reporting the team trusts, and hours a week returned from copy-paste to actual analysis. Because the model was built once and built properly, new questions are now answered by adding a measure rather than commissioning a new report, and month-end reporting largely runs itself.
