Quarterly
Quarterly is our MTD-native accounting product for UK sole traders, shipped as a progressive web app.

Context
Quarterly (qtrly.uk) is our answer to Making Tax Digital for Income Tax: HMRC is replacing the annual Self Assessment with four updates a year, and most accounting software treats sole traders as an afterthought. We built Quarterly because we could see the wave of sole traders about to be pulled into quarterly digital filing with nothing designed for them.
The problem
Sole traders need something that respects both their time and their nerves: MTD-compliant quarterly updates without accountancy jargon, on whatever device is in reach, with their figures kept private.
What we built
An MTD-native accounting product built as an installable, offline-capable progressive web app, with in-browser calculators that keep sensitive figures on the user's device. Its own marketing site leads with a working eligibility checker rather than claims: the same philosophy applied to selling, showing the working and keeping the visitor's figures on their own device.
The outcome
A production PWA and the proof behind our advice that the app store is not always the answer. Quarterly also shapes how we advise on Making Tax Digital: the quarterly-update workflow, HMRC's requirements and the real behaviour of sole traders are things we deal with weekly, not in theory.
